ABOUT ME

Natalie is a young artist currently working in the Chicago metro area. She graduated in 2022 with a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She majored in general studio art because of her ability, and love, to work with a wide variety of mediums and materials.

Currently, Natalie is building her own body of personal artwork, but also works with clients to create commissioned pieces.

Some of Natalie’s favorite mediums to work with are painting, colored pencil, crochet, soft sculpture, and thread portraits. Her personal work is greatly influenced by her love of mod and space age aesthetics.

In her free time, Natalie loves to crochet and knit her own clothing and accessories. She has an Esty shop where she sells crochet wearables, plushies, and other handmade items.

Natalie’s personal work contains themes about anxiety, self esteem, and body dysmorphia. She uses bright saturated colors, disorienting patterns and objects, and distorted bodily features to convey these themes.

These distorted and haphazard pieces are meant to be a visual representation of her anxiety and the symptoms that accompany it. Natalie’s most recent work incorporates her love of mod and retro aesthetics.
